Originally trained in mathematics, Jonny has now turned his attention to crystals, in particular crystals that are made from proteins. He’s hoping to apply his mathematical expertise to help improve data collected from these crystals to enable structural biologists with their studies of proteins.
Outside of his research Jonny likes to keep fit and plays several sports including American football, badminton and football. If you can’t find Jonny playing sport or doing his research then you can find him in the nearest gym. It’s a second home.
