Andrew Steele

Andrew is a physicist making the transition to biology. After a PhD researching magnetism and superconductivity, he now studies the ageing process in an attempt to understand what makes us so much more susceptible to disease as we get older. He also spends a lot of time talking and writing about science. As well as winning FameLab UK 2012, he talks on television and radio, fronts web science video series Lab, Camera, Action! and writes for The Conversation. He also recently launched the Scienceogram, a campaign which seeks to raise awareness of how little we spend on science compared to the scale of the problems we're is trying to solve.
