I am studying for a PhD in the inorganic materials section at the University of Glasgow on Chemistry and Electrical Engineering. I work on energy generation and storage. My undergraduate degree is in chemical physics as I never good decide which of the 2 subjects I loved most.
The PhD is just a small part of what I do. I have a real passion for sharing my enthusiasm with others. Often this is in the form of science communication- under which many of my activities fall but I am also a salsa teacher. Be it science or salsa, I pride myself in my ability to get a room going - I have a contagious sense of excitement.
I have been part of several science festivals in the past two years including Cheltenham, The British and Edinburgh. These have given me great experiances and only fuelled my passion for public engagement more.
