What the 2009 Finalists are up to now
It's over month now since the 2009 NESTA FameLab competition ended with the UK Final at the Cheltenham Science Festival and the 10 finalists have been busy, and you might even be able to see them performing soon at a venue near you.
UK Winner Tom Whyntie will be performing at the Standon Calling Festival in Hertfordshire 31st July - 2nd August along with MasterClass Ward winner Andrew Pontzen.
Matthew Baker, now famous for being the first person ever to give a 3 minute poem as his NESTA FameLab Final performance, will be appearing at a number of festivals, the Ledbury Poetry Festival and the Cheltenham Literature Festival and you can catch him in the poetry slam at next year's Cheltenham Science Festival.
Lewis Dartnell is currently in Japan with the Royal Institution touring the Christmas Lectures and when he gets back he'll be running a hands-on exhibit on astrobiology at The Manchester Museum of Science and Industry.
Lewis isn't the only 2009 NESTA FameLabber performing overseas, NESTA FameLab Audience Award Winner Matt Parker is currently in China giving talks about maths and solar eclipses.
